FAQ

What is MakerPrint?
MakerPrint is a YSWS project where makers create useful products that improve people's lives using Fusion 360 and also 3D printing. Think beyond keychains and toysโ€”design something that solves real problems.
What kind of products should I make?
Focus on useful products that genuinely improve people's lives. This could be organizational tools, accessibility devices, quality-of-life improvements, or practical solutions to everyday problems. We're not accepting keychains, artwork, toys, figures, or weapons.
What are the prizes?
The ultimate prize is a Bambu Lab A1 Mini or A1 Combo. All participants receive effort rewards including premium pens, notebooks, and potential upgrades for your 3D printer(if you have one).
What software do I need?
You'll use Fusion 360 to design your products. If you don't have experience, that's okayโ€”this is a great opportunity to learn! Access Fusion 360 with Autodesk Student and Educator Software Resources.
When does MakerPrint start?
MakerPrint begins after #construct ends. Keep an eye on #makerprint for exact dates and details.
What is Lapse and why do you use it?
Lapse is a fraud prevention tool. We use it to ensure everyone is being honest about their work. If dishonesty is detected, the Fraud Squad will contact you to clarify.
How do I join?
RSVP at https://makerprint.fillout.com/rsvp and join #makerprint on Slack to stay updated and connect with other makers!
